10月16日，好萊塢影視音樂大獎（HMMA）正式公佈 2012年視覺媒體音樂獲獎者入圍名單。新唐人電視台和WORLD2B製作公司製作的記錄片《自由中國》的配樂獲得「最佳原聲音樂專輯獎」提名。希望之聲電台晨間音樂會和德音綜藝節目的製作人和主持陳東Tony Chen作為該紀錄片的全片音樂製作人感謝上天的恩賜。他說：「感謝上天賜予這個提名，我感到是一種莫大的榮幸。」他表示，與其它入圍作品不同，那些都是虛構的故事，「而《自由中國》從內容到音樂，記錄的卻是在中國發生的真實的故事。因為真實，所以令人感動。是真實將我烘托到這個舞台上。」
同時獲得「最佳原聲音樂专辑獎」提名的作品還有影片《魔術邁克》（Magic Mike），完美音调（Pitch Perfect），亚果出任务（Argo）和《暮光之城：破曉-第二部》（The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2）等。好萊塢影視音樂大獎將於11月15日在洛杉磯舉行頒獎典禮。
